Construction used to be localized but now days due to globalization we tend to keep up with world or foreign standards more than just focusing or following our own regions requirements. The picture depicted here shows a huge construction going on in Bengaluru, India, which clearly shows the materials which are used are steel reinforcements, cement aggregate and fly ash. Though in Bengaluru people use more fly ash than fine aggregates which is a waste product of coal and mining industry which is a local product but rest are globalized products. This city if free from earthquakes and high velocity storms so need of deep pile reinforced foundations are not required but even though we provide to tend to keep up with the global standards and competition of building construction, rather than using local materials or recycled materials more. Construction was a localized activity back in them days when Indians used to create homes with bamboo and stabilized mud blocks but now days we tend to keep up with worldwide trends to construct our homes and offices.
