1) Visible information: presence of people, mixed ages, mixed racial groups, diverse activities (walking, running , spectating, sitting) approximate time of day (in sun light, midday) and amount of activity at the time in the area(street) , the class of the area, some urban functions ( street vs buildings vs tented food stalls) , temporary structures and no vehicles in road show this is an event. 2) 2.1-Central area of clustered group is apparent. This indicates an active area that would distributed in some pattern along the whole street that could present what people are gathering at these areas/why. 2.2-areas of movement vs the areas of rest establish spatial structures 3) choose 2.2 by measuring the spectators movement from rest patterns, one could measure urban functions even at a temporary event as such. The movement path ways can be unobstructed and gathering/ cluster areas can be better established with clear viewing/ spectator areas that do not interfere with the movement paths.
