I am proposing a smart app for residents of city neighborhoods to communicate with their city. You could enter your residential location and it would provide important contacts and the ability to communicate with city government and community development corporations (CDCs). For example, new sidewalks are being installed in the neighborhood and you are told your driveway cannot be used for one week. Instead, the app would send you an alert before the work is being done and who to contact regarding issues or concerns. Or suppose a neighbor is dumping garbage. You could report it to the appropriate city department with the app and be able to follow up. You could report inadequate trash pick ups in real time. Or organize a neighborhood cleanup under the railroad bridge. Or organize a community tree planting day. And the city could do a citizen questionnaire to gather data for from citizens about where they want their new trees to be planted.
