2)Which are the main UHI effects that you can identify in your area? - temperature difference in the city of Bratislava due to maps from 2014 are approximately 4°C - biggest difference measured in the complex of car factory Volkswagen and airport - forests surrounding the city are -2°C - -5°C colder - istoric city center is just +1 - +2 °C hotter due to UHI 3)Which are the measures you would propose? - transportation - living in Bratislava in farther areas is dependent on cars I would like to propose improving a train transporation in our area. There already are iniciatives to incorporoate more train transportation, since there are already train tracks in the city, they are just not used because city found it uneconomic. Decreasing number of vehicles in the city, would on one end decrease the UHI effect and on the other end also help overall walkability and atmosphere of the city. - greenery - Overall we are either decreasing its area by building it up, or it is not maintained and thus the quality of these areas is decreasing. 4)Is UHI effect concerning policy making in your area? - Unfortunately, I have not found any info.
