Within the city of Breda the following stocks and flows can be identified: 1. Students entering the city to study (flow, because people migrate to Breda), they then stay in Breda for some years to study (stock), then most will leave again after their study has finished (flow, because they migrate out of the city) 2. there is a huge package distribution center in Breda. Packages enter this center to be sorted for destination (flow) they then stay in the center in order to be sorted (stock) then the packages exit the city to their final destination (flow) 3. urban density. Currently there are some major urban developments going on or have been going on. Most notably is that one inner city army base has been transformed into a housing area (seepicture: FROMGOOGLESTREETVIEW!). Stationary soldiers (stock) have moved out (flow) to make place for new inhabitants (flow) which now live in this new development (stock). This process caused this area to be more dense than it was before. if more student housing is provided, more students will settle the city instead of commute (density). This will provide more demand for retail boosting the economy and housing market for Breda
