I live in Frankfurt, Germany. In Hausen, an area of the city, exists one protected area which is also a linear park along a river. Walking from my home, this linear park turns into a park that counts with generous green areas and also neighboours have micro-farms in front of this park where they grow natural and bio food. There is an armonic coexistence among the neighbours and the nature, since the park has a river that provides shelter for beavers, ducks, fish and rabbits. This can be taken as habitats for species. But humans are taking care of this space as they enjoy it for daily activities, much more related with leisure and exercising. The linear Park among the river has been designed to provide areas for sport, walking, relaxing and gathering. For the last reason, this ecosystem service can be also be considered as recreation and mental and physical health, but also it attracts tourism. As own experience, some of my class mates prefer to come here because we could use this park to gather instead of inner spaces, which is a type of local tourism. I do not own the rights of the attached image.
