The capital of Bulgaria, Sofia, is home of nearly 2 million people. Yet the transportation system in the city has not been changed since the population was much less. That leads to a lot of overcrowded public vehicles in peak hours and not only, making the public transport not a really preferred kind of transportation. That is one of the reasons many people own their own vehicles. Yet most of the people, using their own cars are most of the time alone in them. My idea is to create an app, through which people who own cars can provide information where they are traveling to, so that people who lack of way of transportation can join them for a certain tax, measured by the length of the way they travel together. In that way the gas and the CO2 emissions made from the use of private cars would be reduced and shared among their users and the public transport would become a more enjoyable way of transportation.
