1. The flow of people in and out of the city is very common. Since London is a city of opportunities and a high economy, immigrants are encouraged to move here for economic reasons, in addition to other reasons (such as social or political matters). However, many people also move out of the city. This could be due to the fact that the cost of living in London is high and people with low incomes may struggle 2. The flow of capital between cities is common. TNCs may invest in areas in London due to the high levels of economic activity. Investment could also be transferred around the country or between countries. 3. People in the city may also act as "stocks" if they have lived here for a very long time. (image not taken by me)
