The city of Mumbai faces the real issue of traffic congestion leading to increase in noise levels and not enough green buffers for sound absorption. The stilts of buildings, the street lights, bus depots or stops, the fencing of railway stations can all be covered green. Mumbai is a city where space is highly valuable, since vertical farming is not an option, we could have green circular plates encircling these amenities. The app would be more like a game to engage the citizens to grow these saplings around, conduct events and obtain citizen rewards that could be redeemed as points for using public transport and also encouraging the use of it. Making the city greener visually is a positive for the built and unbuilt fabric the city holds. It is also aiming at all age groups and engaging towards a better quality of life.
