I designed an idea of a smart phone application which measures the carbon emmission you have produced during the day by your transportation value. The app is accessing your location services and calculates the total distance you have taken from one certain point to another, you can select the type of transportation (car, public bus, ferry, metro) and measure the level of emission immediately. In cities such as Istanbul, traffic jam is an important disease of the urban situation. The cars are waiting on roads for a long time without even moving (espacially during rush hours). The carbon emission level data will be directly sent to the authorities so it can be proccessed for a solution. You can also add friends, share your carbon emission level with your friends and see your history if you are progressing.
