The Participatory Budget in the city of Lisbon is one of the forms of citizen participation in the city's governance. Through the Participatory Budget, citizens have effective decision-making power over a portion of the Lisbon Municipal Budget: citizens present proposals for the city, and citizens vote on the projects they want to see included in the Plan of Activities and Budget of the Lisbon Municipal Council , next year.
