The most important flows and stocks entering the city I live in, are the food, which is normally produced fare away from the city and imported from not only other regions, but also from other countries. Another flow are people who come to work and then leave because they live un sub urban areas. The third flow can be all clothes, electronic devices... which come from other countries. If this flows change in the future and turn into a local or regional flow it will help the city to be more resilient and sustainable. There is a huge cost of transportation in the products we buy in a local shop, whereas it could be less if we could bought the products we produce locally.
