The dominant energy source of Thailand comes from oil, which is the dominant fossil fuels used. Most of the oil is imported, which reveals that Thailand is quite dependent from abroad for the energy production. The oil sourced energy is mainly consuming by the transport sector, mainly by road. To improve the environmental friendly and sustainable sources and consumption of energy, it is necessary to focus on the transport sector. It will be good to reduce transportation by road or to develop electric transportation system and vehicles. Instead of importing a huge amount of oil, Thailand should import more electricity. Thailand could also produce itself more electricity, from hydropower and solar systems. For the consumption, Thailand should invest in electric transportation system (like public transportation and rail system) and discourage the use of transportation by road.
