I belong to Chandigarh. Am presently based in Jaipur. This photograph is taken in Shimla. The given statement holds true in most of the places today. The photograph shows the inconsiderable ways RCC buildings and concrete jungles are coming up in the ecologically and seismically sensitive hill cities of northern India. The traditional and vernacular techniques that evolved over the ages keeping in mind the availability of local materials, skills, climate responsiveness and several other factors are discarded and forgotten by ruthless builders of today whose only aim is to go for speedy construction and earn profits with no concern of the environmental degradation being caused. Kindly consider this as a revised submission for Task 1 (FC-01x).
