FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"

In this picture, the Des Moines Art Festival is in full swing downtown. There is a crowd of people gathered around some of the booths, and there is freshly planted trees and grass next to the curb. Long lines of cable run along the sidewalk to power some of the fans to keep the exhibits cool under the heat of the sun. The white booths are used as white reflect sun, while black absorbs, thus making the booths a bit cooler despite the heat. The design of booths on either side of the road with the middle of the road used for crowds, allow guests to peruse the invited artists at their leisure. The design also gives the booths space and a cooler atmosphere since this festival was in the midst of summer, and the booths are simply made to make for easy construct and tear-down for short festivals.
