View of the "Lumpini skyline" from my studio- Bangkok - Thailand On the background of this picture, we can see that the new buildings built in the Bangkok business center are following the globalized economy, using as materials, steel concrete and glass. The architecture is also globalized with the use of glass as façade. Glass windows represent more than 85% of the façade. This increase the demand of cooling to reach the thermal comfort in those buildings in tropical environment and urban density. In the front of the picture, we can see older buildings, using more local materials, such as wood.
