Provisioning Services: While not in this particular photo, the surrounding mountainsides of most California cities have vineyards, while other land (primarily to the south) is diverted to farming, with hillsides to containing water catchments. Regulating Services: Trees and the ocean nearby reflect sunlight, absorb CO2, and generally cool down the local environment. The channel seen in the photo also funnels wind up the channel cooling the area. This particular hillside is further stabilized by hedges, which is actively protected. Pollination and biological population occur through bees, Seahawks and vultures. Habitat Services: As shown much of this habitat lacks development, allowing for habitation of local flora and fauna Cultural Services: The photo shows that there are hiking/walking trails all along the hillsides, and much of Californian land is used for outdoor recreation.
