In both photos the material used is the glass. We see that the whole construction is made of it and some of the walls have been constructed with cement. Even though neither of these materials come from Greece, most of the houses are built with them. The secret of glass making came to Britain with the Romans. The skills and technology required to make glass were closely guarded by the Romans. After that the Roman Empire spread their techniques throughout Europe and the Middle East. Now architects from all over the world use this material for their constructions. It is also vital that in a town of 30,000 residents, there are lots of elements implying that our community is part of the globalization.
