Property developers in new markets are hiring 'proven' foreign talent with recognisable brands in order to make their built projects more desirable and marketable. This is deemed necessary as many of the buyers are also from overseas, China and Indonesia, looking for a place to turn their flow of money into a stock! Design specific to place and climate is not required as sometimes the properties are not even occupied. Here is a condominium tower in Singapore designed by UNStudio from the Netherlands.
