Both routes I have indicated uses private car as a mode of transport. There are public modes of transport available but due to personal safety concerns, the unreliability of public transport and the distance to the bus/taxi stops i prefer private transport. This also allows me to choose which route i take as traffic varies day to day depending on school holidays, big holidays, weather, accidents etc in order to be the shortest time on the road possible and get to my destination quickest. I generally prefer route 1 as it takes me mainly through residential roads which are more scenic and quieter.
