In the picture we find a segment of the main street in the historic centre of Quito. The action is interesting in terms of data and information available, and from there evaluations can be made to inform other decisions. The action being taken by the Municipality is to pedestrianize and with that aim, reduce carbon emissions derived from mobility, improve local economy, allow for more and better public space occupation. In that sense, measuring emissions, how many new bussiness, how much more time does people stay on the street and not think of it as a mere circulation pathway.
