1)The dominant fossil fuels used in my country are as follow: oil, natural gas and biofuels & waste production. 2)The fossil fuels, mentioned above, are mainly used in transportation. 3)Portugal, on a general note, has improved tremendously it´s consumption to environmentally friendly types. For it has ran four days straight on renewable energy alone. However, the importation level and use of oil should see a drastic decrease. In relation to the sources, I would encourage the use of ocean/tidal energy as a primary provider. Portugal is boarded to the west and south by the Atlantic Ocean, making this type of energy production very accessible. Not to mention that tidal energy has the benefit that, unlike other sources, tidal currents are reliably predictable. I believe the human being has become unaware of the consumption that they make every day, just to get to work or on a leisurely day out. I would for this, try to make the younger generation more aware of the impact their footprint has on the earth we live in and would encourage the usage of alternative means to achieve the same result.
