STOCK & FLOW 1. Food 2. People 3. Information CONCEPT 1. Food: Stock as being food items stored in warehouses, market, etc. Flow as being transported from outsided the city (farms and plants) to market/warehouses to home for final consumption, and even transformed as feces for final disposal. Flow is also the local farming. 2. People: Stock as local population living in the area. Flow as being people going in and out of the city, people giving birth, or people dying. 3. Information: Stock as knowledge in local population brain, as data in computing system, as information in librarie books and documents. Flow as phone call, sms, email, mail exchange, website, fax, etc. FUTURE 1. Food: Could be more farmed locally. This would increase local stock and reduce the flow therefore the pollution related to mass production and transportation from global enterprises. 2. People: Massive global migration increase flow. 3. Information: Increase of global communication, better way of communication. Increase flow by shareing more information.
