Cities: 1. Copenhagen 2. Berlin 3. Auckland 4. Vienna 5. Singapore Factors: Economical-political stability Access to nature Infrastructure Right population density International connectivity My city: Budapest It's political and economical status is unfortunately not improving and multinational businesses have started to leave or be less inclined to come here. The city has quite good access to nature inside it (parks) and outside (hills, natural parks), but their upkeep could be improved. The infrastructure is often old and not fixed/replaced when needed, but the basics are there. New sensors for big data collection and other digitalised services should be set up to improve this factor of the city. The current state of infrastructure in different areas of Budapest is very uneven - more attention should be paid to the less attractive parts too. Budapest is neither too spread out (USA suburbs) or too dense (Hongkong). It has such huge potential to be an international hub at the geographical centre of Europe - yet not much is done to achieve this status.
