The photo shows a busy road in Budapest that leads onto one of the city's bridges. This area is used by cars at quite a high speed, about a dozen lines of public transport buses, many pedestrians living or working in the area as well as lots of tourists. There is also a metro station just underneath what is seen on the image. To enable this all to run smoothly and without accidents the city needs to rely on the infrastructure of traffic lights, sturdy roads with an underground pedestrian crossing system and information boards. As the days get shorter, the importance of street lighting also cannot be downplayed in keeping the junction safe.
