Hello I'm Aelia I'm 18 and I live in France. 1. You have always the same schema : they is a peak of temperature for the city and lower temperature around the city. Chicago : 21° hoter in the city than in nearby rural areas/average 2.2° hotter than rural area. New York : 20° hotter in the city than in nearby rural areas/average 2.7° hotter than rural area. Detroit : 22° hotter in the city than in nearby rural areas/average 3.8° hotter than rural area. 2. On the picture from google map, you can see the delimitation of the city and the rural areas. In Strasbourg city, there is a lot of building, and some of big constuction, like the Cathedral or the Parlement. Rural areas are mostly field and villages. 3. I want to reduce construction of building which capture heat and put more vegetation in the city. I will valorize project like plant structures. I will valorize pedestrian area to reduce car ride. 4. They was a mouvement in Europe, POPSU Europe want to change the strategy facing climate change and UHI.
