1.Petroleum and Coal are the dominant fossil fuels used in my country (India). 2.Maximum consumption is for other activities, then followed by the Industry and then followed by Transport as the Sankey diagram of my country, India, shown in the iea website. 3.In the uploaded picture of Gandhinagar City, we can see on the left handside of the picture, smoke and air pollution due to indiscriminate burning of waste material alongwith dry leaves, etc. which creates air pollution which is particularly visible in the evening. As a policy, the burning of waste material should be totally banned, punishable with fines and should be strictly enforced by law enforcement agencies. We can see on the right handside of the picture, solar panels, which have been used as top over the vehicle parking space, which is a very positive sign. A policy is needed to make solar panels mandatory for as top for all the vehicle parking spaces being constructed hereafter. Use of electric car could be encouraged by giving incentives to citizens who purchase it. Similarly, roof top solar energy could be encouraged by giving incentives to households and Energy Plus Commercial Buildings should be encouraged as a policy.
