FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"
Uploaded on 2016-07-30 by Ayushi Agarwal
This is the view from my apartment in the urban area of Ghaziabad city. There are several visible informations that can be derived - for example, the greenery. There's a small garden in front of every house. There's a small parking space outside the house, parallel to the street or the road of the residential area. The houses are relatively old . Some buildings in the colony which are multi storeyed while single storeyed buildings also exist. This is a purely residential area with no govt service buildings . The invisible information can be the level of comfort given the parking space is so little. Also, the second invisible info that can be said is the construction material used. We can make out certain things from the picture but the feedback of the users cant be determined. Some may have problems with leakage in pipes, as its common in the area, some may have maintenance issues as the buildings seem old. Knowing the these invisible informations can be useful in the building of future structures and hence more livable cities. The better we know the feedback of the people, i.e. invisible information, the better cities we can build!
