I am agree with the definition that design of transportation infrastructure is one of the 'crucial dimensions for the design of the future sustainable urban systems and the human habitat'. Moreover in the majority of the countries different kinds of transport infrastructure are needed. Transportation and infrastructure for transport needs in the Netherlands are an important issues for inhabitants. The highways, bike roads, roads for vehicles, railways, transportation by the water are widely developed. All kinds of transport are used. The transport infrastructure lets inhabitants to travel between their living places and work / study place/ another destinations (for example hospitals, schools, shops). The bikes are very popular inside the cities. Also the combination of different kinds of transport for one trip is usual. Some people are sharing their cars.
