1 transportation recreation environment job opportunities culture 2 Culemborg, Netherlands: Affordable houses. Mixed city with different ethnic groups. Family lives close. My brother even works here. Coincidence (life). Compromise between big city and village. 3 transportation 75 recreation 70 environment 70 job opportunities 70 culture 80 general: 75. 4 I would improve our infrastructure. Our city is divided into 2 by the railroad between Amsterdam and the south. There are only a few possibilities to pass. Citizens cycle a lot. But the underpasses are not real safe. This division also has a social component. Eastern Culemborg is older (inhabitants and houses) and cannot grow. In Culemborg-West lives a younger crowd. Plenty houses are built here. I would make more underpasses or put the railroad completely underground. That would give our city a boost and make it more livable. 5 1 Hoorn: close to Amsterdam; lots of work; nice surroundings; good train transportation; open mentality. 2 Maastricht: cultural capital of south; close to Germany and Belgium; attractive distinctive landscape; enough work; educated people. 3 Haarlem: close to Amsterdam, but no mass tourism; work; close to airport; near sea and beaches; open minded.
