Water is one of the basic elements of life therefore it has a major impact on urban form and architecture; it is used for various purposes such as landscape water elements, cooling towers, construction work, irrigation, drinking, washing, and livestock watering. Water towers can be noticed around the city as a mean of storage, water then is distributed through networks of underground pipelines to consumers. In architecture water is stored in elevated water tanks and then distributed throughout the building using embedded pipelines. The production of water happens mostly outside the city center either by extracting fresh water from the groundwater fields or the seawater desalination plants.
