São Paulo is beginning to make investments in alternative transportation use in recent years, mostly in cycles. But the city's geography does not help people make the most of this new transportation option, though people may want to have more transportation options to use every day to work comfortably facing the long distances of a gigantic city. Today, all public transportation in the city is very crowded and uncomfortable. The city needs much more underground transportation and other new types of slow transportation in some areas with demand such as business centers where there is a high concentration of people just in working hours.
