This picture is taken from the 11th floor of my apartment in Altstetten, Zurich, Switzerland. The evident information from this photo is that it is situated in a train station surrounded by office buildings. In the farther end is the picturesque view of the mountains. Altstetten was once a non popular place in Zurich, but once the industries took over, it became one of the sort after prime centers in Zurich. Majority of the people in Switzerland prefer to commute by public transport as it is fast and affordable than owning a car. Invisible information : Since there are so many new office buildings around this area, there might be a need for housing here. It can be a good scope for real estate investment for developers. Majority of the commuters is people coming to Altstetten from their home in the morning and people going back to their homes in the evening compared to vice versa. One question that always comes to my mind is that if Zurich is losing its picturesque identity with the new construction developments of high raise buildings? Is there any solution to maintain the beauty of this place?
