is a typical example of a contemporary building, in London alone there are skyscrapers in construction in the momennt. United Kingdom alone is on the 18th place of production of steel. The main country they use to import steel and glass from is Germany, not because there is not enough in the UK, bit it's though that the quality and the performance is higher when it comes from German suplliers. London is a very good example of a megapolis and architecture focused around multi-storey mixed use buildings, which on their own can affect the Economy due to the size of the project itself.
