With the App “My District” I aim to target specifically the people living in a given district, as opposed to the entire city. New residents should be asked to download it and actively participate through it. It could facilitate several administrative tasks but beyond that it could also serve as a platform for pro-active governance and community building. I believe that many initiatives taking on the entire city at once fail to address the given topics with the necessary specificity. This becomes especially true in places with less developed or accessible transportation infrastructures.
