It is, unfortunately, more and more common to face strong heat waves in Greece and in particular in the capital of Athens. Athens is a highy populated city as half of the greek polulation lives there, nowadays (almost 5 millions). It is also an urban environment, mostly constructed with concrete. This, in combination with the asphalts, that streets and big avenues are made of, lead to even more intense plenomena when a heat wave strikes. My idea is a mobile application, in which somebody can be informed of whether a heat wave comes by even personal notification, which is going to be the size of it and the maximum temperature, where are the places with the most increased risk and finally where are located the nearest public spaces that are prepared to provide first aid services or even a refuge.
