The smart phone application called DIGITAL DIALOUGE is meant to link people of the city to the system and the context. The PEOPLE are the users of the app and the governance which is a 3 tiered system of municipal corporation department heads, ward offices and task teams. The SYSTEM comprises of infrastructure networks like transport, water, sewage and solid waste. The CONTEXT is the built environment such as roads, open spaces, heritage structures, eateries, parking and other amenities. The application can be used for wayfinding through the city. People can not only find their way to all the amenities, open spaces and structures in the specified CONTEXT but can find shared transportation options, public transport schedules and parking options. PEOPLE share their views in upgrading the SYSTEM and interacting with concerned authorities. Government can announce development proposals on the app wherin people can vote, contribute and opine on their preferences so this application becomes an incubation centre for the city. People can engage in various green initiatives such as tree walks, heritage walks, food collection and distribution, solid waste collection and recycling. Hence this application will enable governance and people alike to strengthen the systems for the city betterment.
