Safety is an issue in many cities in Latin america, and I got myself thinking about how an app could help in dangerous situations. It seems very challenging because in dangerous situations there is no interaction that you can do with an app. It would need to be a simple and very easy task to be done in a situation of danger. Taking your smartphone out is out of chance. One idea is that the person choses to share location within certain period of hours with a alert sign, so the police department could pay attention in a certain risky situation. One would still needs to trigger the alarm if something bad happens and this is the very trick part. With technologies of voice recognition the person could say a keyword that would trigger that, but sometimes the person cannot speak. Another option could be using the button of the earphones, or maybe shakig the device twice? Answers are not complete, it would still be impossible to use in some situations, but I believe in other various ones this would help a lot.
