I would like to propose an app for the city to address the issue of congestion, traffic and enable a pedestrian friendly movement within the city. The core of the city gets choked and makes life really difficult for the citizens to move across the city and also also to provide a better experience of the city. This app shall enable the citizens to keep track of heavy activities in certain zones and tell them the real time traffic movement in a certain zones. This issue is very evident is city'old core areas as well CBD areas. It can help people make choices of which areas to avoid when and how to move across. At the same time it will provide the government agencies data to process, analyse and act upon. for ex. this data shall give out the zones of heavy traffic, and help govt. to develop them accordingly to provide infrastructure to enable pedestrian friendly paths depending on the footfalls and also dedicate some zones based on activities and make them only pedestrian (like you can see in the image). This shall help the city towards better livability aspects and provide a better user experience.
