The trash collecting system for recyclable items in Zürich today is quite unpractical, especially if you are not here every single day of the month. The trash is collected on a different day for each type at different times of the month, which makes it difficult to follow. With a new system having some place in each neighborhood to collect the different trash items such as cardboard, paper, glass or metal, combined with an app, it would be easier not to crawl under piles of recyclable trashes every month as you just passed the date of collection. The app would allow the people of one neighborhood to send a notification to the city once one of the containers is full, and the city workers would come and pick up the trash. That way the city would be efficient, being able to pick the trashes up only when it is really needed, and it would suit the people better as well by being simpler to get used to.
