Ecosystem services A.Provisioning In Colombia, moors are ecosystems that represent the 2% of the territory, and provide water to the 70% of the entire population. The Sumapaz, located in Bogotá, is 154.000ha. There’s also fertile soil around the rural areas of Bogotá to grow vegetables and fruits. The picture is from Sumapaz moor. B.Regulating Right now, are several projects working on rehabilitation, recovery and regulation of places where water is being contaminated. The image is from Torca river in Bogotá, that has been getting better each year. C.Habitat Bogotá is surrounded by mountains on the east side. About birds, there are 119 species. About mammals, are 18 species. About reptiles are registered 5 species, and about amphibious are 9 species. Bogotá has 13 wetlands, important ecosystems for vegetation and animals. The picture shows in the background of the city an extension of the east mountains. D.Cultural The Parque de los Nevados, located in the mountains to the west of the City, designed to keep all this knowledge and beliefs of the Muiscas. Also, the Simon Bolívar, that brings calm and a deep connection to nature, the extension is 400ha. The picture is at the Simón Bolívar park.
