This photo was taken a short walk from the studio where I work in Hackney, NE London. It shows a development of new flats under construction (in fact, there is a large number of construction sites around here - landowners are beginning to realise the potential value of their land!). The two cranes in the picture were built by Terex, a global company based in Connecticut, US - their presence on the other side of the Atlantic is evidence of the 'Globalised Economy'.
