The skyscraper is the typical example of accumulation of building material coming from all over the world. Rotterdam has built many of these buildings investing in material construction that do not come from the Netherland, a country very poor in natural resources. Both concrete and steel may be coming from Germany (famous for its steel industries). The interior could have been decorated with precious marbles and stones coming from very far away. From the point of view of the sustainability the skyscraper does not represent a good example, even if labelled as energy-efficient.
