In strategic locations, but still all over the city and in a dense fashion, QR-Codes are placed, which any citizen with his smartphone (a city's app) can scan. Upon scanning the QR-Code, a satisfaction survey form with 3 options is presented. 1. Not satisfied 2. Somewhat satisfied 3. Very satisfied with this, each citizen can report his day to day experience and satisfaction from that specific location in the City. Participation is anonymous and can be performed multiple times, but only once a day from each device (no registration is required, the app identifies the device by it's IMEI) The data collected contain location and responses. So eventually a digital map of citizen satisfaction of the city emerges. Once we have this map, more actions can be taken to monitor for specific issues, like noise, traffic etc. With constant feedback applied, after acting upon a possible issue the measure of satisfaction can again be measured. This app is/should be advertised by the City Municipality and allows citizens to participate, into how their life can actually get better within the city.
