I am proposing a kind of city app with different buttons for a) status of public transport (punctuality), traffic jams (in the city), events of the day, police information (like do not go to xyz because of ...), daily uniques (city song of the day), tamagochi/gamification (to make user come back every day like in a game). The icon list should be 15-20 boxes of which the user can choose 9 or 12. Below this section are a few labels to store preferences, find friends nearby, etc.
