It would be helpful to have an app that would draw attention to the accessibility issues of the cities. Groups with limited mobility are not necessarily the first (and not even the second, for that matter) stakeholders city planners have in mind when (re)designing. Through this app people would rate the degree of accessibility for wheelchair users, people with strollers and other groups falling under that umbrella term of "disabilities". These citizens would have a tool letting them know which streets, buildings, amenities are better suited for their needs, and offer them a much-needed source of empowerment by providing a platform where their city is assessed from their POV as well. The collected feedback could become a valuable source for city planners, put additional pressure on policy makers to push for stricter regulations.
