Stocks & Flows: 1) Food (Rice) & Water 2) Oil & Gas 3) Building materials (concrete and steel) The food and water could easily change based on weather patterns. We currently have been in a drought the last 7-10 years. Thus, if more rain comes and snow pack increases we may send more water down to Southern California. Additionally, we will have greater stock of food as the harvest will increase with favourable weather. Due to legislation at the state level the flow of oil and gas will slowly decrease leading to and increased production of renewable energies such as solar and wind. If we begin to use more renewable sources of building materials, they more likely than not will need to be procured outside of the city leading to a surplus flow of goods fro outside the system.
