This construction (of a house), that involves materials and construction techniques very common here in the city of Presidente Prudente and also in Brazil, is located in a gated condominnium. 1- Gated condominnium is a type of housing, which have been grown on a large scale, especially here and in the cities around, it involves a complex of houses closed by walls and gates, normally located on the outskirts of the cities, where there is space to be inserted these large establishments. This large development is about safety, people feel safe, living inside the walls. However this is not so good for the city, this means that people see the city as a dangerous place, and it and it couldn't be seen like that. It also segregates the economic classes on the city, low income people have not the condition to live in this places. In other words, these are not establishments that constribute to the healthy of the cities. 2 - The materials used on these construction techniques shown on this photo, are for example concrete and steel for pillars and beams (which weren't concreted yet on the photo), and there is also the provisional structure, that is the timbering (woods and long irons) that offers support during the structuring and drying of the real structure.
