I choose this photography of a place close to the place I live in Lyon. The city is named Villeurbanne. This place was the area were our architecture school was working for the fifth semester studying urban scale. I choose this picture because it shows a lot of visible and invisible information. We see that this place is about to change. In the background, we can see a new black and glass building which seems to be offices. In foreground we observe an empty space waiting to be built. This picture raises up many items of invisible information. What took place in this area before the destruction? What is about to be built, what kind of district, of buildings? What factors will evolve with the new buildings? (density, social frequentation, etc)
