1. Check the temperature differences in US cities. I checked Miami. Miami temperature is up to 17’C hotter in the city than in nearby rural area. The average temperature of summer in city is higher than in rural area. 2. Which are the main UHI effects that you can identify in your area? The temperature of Bangkok city is higher than its surrounding cities. Bangkok has a lot of high rise building which can cause urban heat island. 3. Which are the measures you would propose? Bangkok has small recreational green area comparing to its large high rise area. A lot of traffic jam is happening all day. I would like to suggest more green area to create and promote public transportation for Bangkok city. 4. Is UHI effect concerning policy making in your area? There is no UHI effect concerning policy making in my area. The government only concern about creating business zone with high rise building, they do not make awareness on decreasing heat effect of the city.
